WHAT WE DO Once Upon A Bash provides all-inclusive birthday celebrations, à la carte party entertainment, and custom event coordination services for St. Louis families and businesses. Events can be hosted either at your own home or venue, or at the Once Upon A Bash event space in historic Maplewood. Our famous all-inclusive bashes include custom, handcrafted invitations and thank you notes mailed on your behalf, real linens and dinnerware, custom crafted décor pieces, high quality costumes, designer cupcakes, and deluxe favors-including custom t-shirts with your guests’ names!

OUR STORY Jaimel Gauda made the jump from stay-at-home mom to work-at-home mom when she created Once Upon A Bash in 2007. The service initially only included events held in her clients’ homes. Very soon, demand began to outgrow her SUV and she began shopping for an event space in 2008. She fell in love with historic Maplewood’s charm and eccentricity, and 2732 Sutton quickly became the mompreneur’s second home. Jaimel and husband Anthony call the city their “first home,” where they live with their three children. The oldest, Joss and “Ant,” are regulars at Open Play!

OUR MISSION The hostesses and entertainers of Once Upon A Bash aim to engage and excite our guests. Our events go beyond the usual birthday fair. We create lasting memories with celebrations that truly reflect the past 364 days of love, friendship, and family...trials, tribulations, and achievements. They really do deserve no less.
